Vision Mission And Core Values

Elaborate on the Society’s vision for promoting the development of natural sciences and information engineering; clarify the mission of “promoting academic exchange, talent cultivation, and industrial transformation,” linking it to Malaysia’s science and technology development strategy.

Strategic Framework

Society’s short-term

1–3 years

Organizational Development

Establishing the Organizational Framework: Form a core management team, covering key positions such as academic affairs, operations, and finance, with clearly defined roles and responsibilities for each position. Draft the Society’s bylaws, covering membership criteria, member rights and benefits, and organizational decision-making processes to ensure the Society operates under a clear and established framework.

Launching Academic Activities

Hosting Small-Scale Academic Seminars: Organize 10-12 small-scale seminars annually, each focusing on cutting-edge research topics. The size of each seminar will be limited to 50-100 participants and will feature keynote presentations by renowned domestic and international experts. This will provide a platform for in-depth exchange among members, stimulate the collision of academic ideas, and promote the emergence of new research directions.

Resource Accumulation and Collaboration

Building an Academic Resource Library: Collect and organize classic literature, research reports, and datasets in the fields of natural sciences and information engineering to establish an online academic resource library. This will provide members with free access to refer and download materials, increasing member engagement and sense of belonging to the Society.

Medium-Term

3-5 Years

Membership System and Organizational Optimization

Expanding Membership Scale and Types: Enhance membership recruitment and promotion through online campaigns and participation in international academic exhibitions to attract a broader global community of researchers, university faculty and students, and enterprises. The goal is to grow the total membership to exceed 3,000 within five years. Diversify membership categories by introducing exclusive benefits for student and corporate members. For instance, student members could receive discounts on academic training, while corporate members could gain access to industry consulting services, thereby increasing the appeal and diversity of the membership system.

Deepening Academic Exchange

Hosting Large-Scale International Academic Conferences: Organize a major international academic conference annually, inviting top global scholars and corporate executives. The conference will feature diverse sessions such as keynote speeches, thematic forums, and achievement showcases. The target attendance is 500-1,000 participants, aiming to establish the conference as a globally influential academic event in the field, thereby enhancing the Society’s international profile and influence.

Advancing Industry-Academia-Research Collaboration

Building an Industry-Academia-Research Collaboration Platform: Organize 2-3 matchmaking events annually between corporate members and members from universities and research institutions. These events will serve as a platform to publish corporate technology needs, facilitate the commercialization and application of research outcomes, and foster close integration between academic research and industrial practice, ultimately solving practical technical challenges for enterprises and creating economic value.

Long-Term Strategies

5+ Years

Enhancing International Influence

Leading the Formulation of International Academic Standards: Organize authoritative experts within the society to participate in the development of international academic standards. In areas such as research methodologies and technical specifications in natural sciences and information engineering, we will ensure the society’s voice is heard. The goal is to lead or participate in the formulation of no fewer than [10] international standards, thereby enhancing the society’s influence in shaping international academic rules and establishing its leadership position in the global academic community.

Talent Cultivation and Disciplinary Development

Establishing International Academic Awards: Found academic awards with significant international influence, to be presented annually. These awards will recognize outstanding researchers and innovative teams who have made remarkable contributions in the fields of natural sciences and information engineering. This will enhance the society’s authority and influence in talent motivation, attracting top global talent to pursue research in these fields.

Social Service and Responsibility

Providing Policy Advisory Services: Leverage the society’s extensive academic resources and professional expertise to provide professional consultation reports and recommendations to government departments on needs related to science and technology development strategies and industrial policy formulation. This will offer intellectual support for national and regional S&T decision-making, fulfilling the society’s role as a “think tank” in societal development.
